Paloma Rodríguez

Licenciada en Artes con mención en Pintura de la Universidad de Chile y Magíster en Restauración y Conservación de Objeto y Entorno Patrimonial de la Universidad Finis Terrae, esta artista visual ha forjado una trayectoria multifacética y comprometida. Fundadora de Nómada Espacio Artístico, su trabajo pictórico se caracteriza por la creación de escenarios ficticios, coloridos y provocadores, construidos a partir del reciclaje de imágenes.

Su obra se inscribe en una fuerte tendencia apropiacionista, donde la mezcla de lenguajes, la descontextualización y la reflexión sobre el placer visual son elementos centrales. Estos "collages pictóricos" funcionan como interpretaciones visuales de la idiosincrasia social, congregando relatos y empoderando a la mujer a través de la pintura.

Durante el estallido social, la artista llevó su compromiso al espacio público, trasladando sus pinturas a los muros de Santiago, Valparaíso y Río de Janeiro mediante la técnica del paste-up. Estas intervenciones, que transformaron sus obras al óleo en formatos gráficos, resignificaron el entorno urbano y marcaron el inicio de su faceta como muralista.

During the social uprising, the artist took her commitment to public spaces, transferring her paintings to the walls of Santiago, Valparaíso, and Rio de Janeiro using the paste-up technique.
