Oscar Barra Sepúlveda. Pintor nacido en Santiago el 19 de septiembre de 1964.

Estudió Licenciatura en Artes Plásticas en la Universidad de Concepción entre 1986 y 1990. Fue miembro fundador del Grupo Grisalla.
"Hoy, mi trabajo está conectado con un deseo de mostrar las cosas que a mi me gustan, o que me llaman la atención desde que era pequeño.

No busco provocar un cambio en el espectador, o referir a grandes preguntas de la humanidad; simplemente trabajo con una herramienta que es fundamental para un artista y que está en peligro de extinción; la imaginación. Tener imaginación no es intrascendente. La imaginación es determinante para cualquier manifestación de nuestra vida; con imaginación vamos a resolver, en el futuro, problemas para los que hoy no tenemos solución; si estamos criando niños sin imaginación, eso un día nos va a pasar la cuenta" Oscar Barra.

His work is connected with a desire to show objects that he likes, or normally elements that attracts his attention since he was a child. He doesn`t want to provoke a change in the viewer, or refer to great questions of humanity; he simply works with a tool that is fundamental to any artist, and is in danger of extinction: imagination. Imagination is not unimportant. It is determinant for any manifestation of our life; with imagination we are going to solve, in the future, problems for which today we have no solutions; if we are raising children without imagination, one day we will regret ".
