Mono González
Alejandro "Mono" González, muralista, artista visual, escenógrafo de teatro, cine y televisión.
Nació en Curicó, Chile, el año 1947.
Se formó en la Escuela Experimental Artística de Santiago, que funcionaba en el Ministerio de Educación, donde se especializó en pintura. Tuvo como profesores a Fernando Marcos y a Osvaldo Reyes, que habían sido ayudantes de pintores como Siqueiros, Orozco y Rivera en México. Posteriormente estudió Diseño Teatral en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Chile.
Ha trabajado en escenografías para comerciales de televisión, películas y teatro. Fue jefe de Pintura Escenográfica en el Teatro Municipal durante la década del 80, levantando los fondos de obras como Don Quijote y Romeo y Julieta. Estuvo a cargo de los paisajes urbanos de películas como Machuca, La frontera y La fiebre del loco, La lección de pintura, e incluso los escenarios de la franja del No.
Miembro de "Cultura en movimiento" y del Consejo Editorial de la Revista "Pluma y Pincel" y de la Corporación Cultural de Recoleta.

He was born in Curicó, Chile, in 1947. He studied at the Experimental Artistic School of Santiago, which was operated at the Ministry of Education, where he specialized in painting. He was on charge of the cityscapes of films such as Machuca, La Frontera and The Fiebre del Loco, La Lección de Pintura, and even the scenes of the No.
Member of “Cultura en movimiento” and of the Editorial Board of the magazine “Pluma y Pincel” and of the Cultural Corporation of Recoleta.
